Jonathan Pollard will be seen in public next Tuesday for first time in 16 years when Washington federal judge considers whether to allow him to continue appealing his life sentence.

Pollard admits giving classified information to Israel but contends life sentence too harsh and violates his plea agreement with prosecutors. Court session is described as procedural and not called to decide whether Pollard should be resentenced.
