PROFESSIONALS from Singapore will be able to take up jobs in the United States despite a shortage of visas for skilled foreign workers.

Workers with advanced scientific and engineering degrees are needed to fill key jobs in the United States. -- AFP
All 65,000 temporary visas for highly-skilled foreign workers were said to have been snapped up on the very first day of the US fiscal year last Friday.
