Marijuana 'petition' actually voter registration form (Repug Dirty Trick)

COURTHOUSE - Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) students recently received a real-life lesson: Do not sign something unless you thoroughly read it.


Students, who last month signed a petition that was being circulated on the Blue Bell campus to legalize marijuana for primarily medicinal purposes, now are finding out that they are registered Republicans.
"This is just very disheartening," said Plymouth resident Jennifer Fugo, a 24-year-old continuing education student who describes herself as a "victim of voter registration manipulation."

"Everyone is encouraging young people to register and vote and then they experience something like this," Fugo said Monday. "This is just outrageous."

Fugo, who had been living in New York, this summer returned to the area and, in August, had her voter registration transferred to Plymouth. Her new registration card at that time correctly listed her party affiliation as a Democrat.

Imagine her surprise last week, said Fugo, when she received a new registration card from the county that listed her as a registered Republican.

It doesn't sound like the students were trying to register or interested in voting. So now the Thugs have the registration info for a registered vote who doesn't plan to vote. It provides the opportunity for the Thugs to vote in place of the students.

I've told my husband if Bush is re-elected, we need to get out of here (the country). But it looks like there's just not any way we can afford it.

So...here in my county of Republican stronghold, I'm thinking walk into the Republican HQ and work from within. Primaries: vote for pro-choice candidates and those more in line with my values and beliefs. Money: still donate to Democratic candiates.

The things is, around here I don't trust them. I didn't register to vote until about two years ago because I know how the politics come into play. If you're looking for a job and want to be successful, party affiliation will be a factor.

Switching the registered party affiliation might be the best way to get this turned around.

I don't understand why you have to register as one or the other. You don't do that in my state and it makes no sense to me.

In NM you have to be one or the other to participate in voting in the primaries. You can't be a registered independent and vote in the primaries. If you're a registered green and there's a green in the primaries, you get to participate.

I have started two threads about this and they both died.

I suppose people just think that all these stories are being taken care of, but they are wrong!

The same thing may be happening to people in another state but they are not aware of this incident.

John Kerry must speak out and now!

Every time he starts a speech, he needs to tell of some abuse. He needs to tell all the crowds to tell everyone they know. Say the Media isn't getting out the message but we will!

20. THIS IS VOTE FRAUD!

This is not inconsequential! The people pulling this scam are counting on the students to not vote. The scammers will go and vote multiple times using the students' registrations.

The only point I can see to registering them as Thuglicans is that they can be used again to vote in a Republican primary. Or maybe it's just force of habit.

Can't you still vote for whoever? Including non-Republicans.
