5. What Bush thinks about it isn't as important anymore...
Edited on Tue Sep-02-03 06:25 PM by htuttle
The important question is: What do the French think about the resolution?

7. That I can't answer
But the German MP-aides I've talked with lately claim that it's too late - Bush was told before the war that it won't work; he was told after the war that it won't work; now it's too late to do it right (Meaning no troops; currently everybody is pissed about several hundred German troops/federal Policemen having to guard the German embassy in Baghdad (and French troops the French embassy) - the US troops withdrew from the area, which is yet another breach of international law).

And Afganistan needs a mandate as well (if he wants more soldiers for Afghanistan).

11. since the Bush junta is holding America hostage
I hate to say it, but I don't think European nations should help...as long as Bush and his gang of crooks are in power.

there is no reason for the European nations to believe this gang of thugs will respect any agreements made.

there is no reason for Europe to believe that any strategy Bush and crew will propose will be any more realistic than any of the b.s. they're thrown against the wall thus far.

I cannot imagine that Europeans would want to help out BushCo, either, after they ignored the will of the people here, and insulted the people and leaders of Europe.

I hate to think of what could happen in Iraq to both innocent citizens and our soldiers, but I don't think BushCo can succeed in this venture.

As you said, it was wrong, undoable from the first.

There is no reason to think that the Bush junta will suddenly become reasonable and rational and able to function as part of the democratic world.

They're doing everything they can here to undermine democracy. what a joke to think that they will bring it to Iraq.

8. UN must reject US resolution.
I haven't read it, but we can be pretty sure it's more of the same crap. Sovereignty is the key. Freedom for Iraq to choose its own course, even if that course is against perceived US or Israeli interests. That's what freedom is about--the freedom to choose a national course free from foreign interference and subversion.
