Support for Bush slips in Wisconsin (52%)

Support for President Bush's overall performance and his handling of Iraq has slipped noticeably in Wisconsin since the end of the Iraq war, a new statewide poll has found.

In the latest poll, 52% said the president was doing a good or excellent job as president, while 47% rated his performance fair or poor.

Those numbers are roughly equal to Bush's ratings in January and March, during the buildup to war, but down by double digits from early last year and from April and May of this year.

Wisconsin is a state Bush will try hard to win next year, but with numbers like this, Nader not taking as much, and Feingold bringing in the progressive vote I would say he doesn't have much of a chance.
