Members of 367th arrive at Philadelphia armory, leave Friday
Associated Press
PHILADELPHIA, Miss. - Sgt. Grace Triplett and her son, Spc. Devlin Triplett, will deploy Friday with 178 other members of the Mississippi Army National Guard's 367th Maintenance Company.
The unit was called up last week as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
"You know you won't be alone," Grace Triplett of Victoria said as she and her son arrived at the Philadelphia armory on Tuesday. "While you're missing everyone else, you know someone will be there with you."
Devlin Triplett, 20, spent his life traveling with his mother as she made her way from Germany to Korea to Fort Bragg.
The 367th will support a new Stryker Brigade. The Stryker Brigade Combat Team will be the first of its kind deployed in combat and the 367th will provide maintenance and repair parts for the team. (snip/...)
