The Ten Commandments monument, which is at the center of controversy in Alabama, won't be coming to Mississippi.
Suspended Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore has turned down Gov. Ronnie Musgrove's offer to bring the monument to the state Capitol as a temporary display.
The massive granite monument was removed from the Alabama Judicial Building last week under a federal court order.
"Justice Moore has decided to keep the monument in Alabama," Musgrove's spokeswoman, Lee Ann Mayo, said Wednesday.
