No Vice President Run for N.M. Governor/


SANTA FE, N.M. - New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson says he will not accept any offer to be the vice presidential candidate on the 2004 Democratic presidential ticket.

"I'm very firm," the Democrat said Wednesday. "I'll reiterate to anyone who asks. I'm committed to run for re-election" as governor in 2006.

2. Good--as great a guy as Bill Richardson is...

They really NEED him there in N.M. for eight years. Let him add to his already-extensive Resume the credit of being a successful two-term governor who helped his state weather some extremely bad times and to come out of them stronger than ever, and imagine what a great running mate--or, maybe, even more--he'd be by then!? :D

Besides, the way things have been going in Texas, Dem. legislators there may end up needing his help a few more times between now and 2006, too!:eyes:
