http://famulus.msnbc.com/FamulusIntl/reuters09-05-145256.asp?reg=EUROPEDUBLIN, Sept. 5 — A man arrested earlier this week and questioned about the Omagh bombing, Northern Ireland's worst single attack in 30 years of violence, has been charged with ''a series of terrorist offences,'' police said on Friday.
The 34-year-old man, who was detained in Northern Ireland on Tuesday along with a woman who was later released, was charged with conspiracy to cause an explosion and with a number of offences relating to possession of explosives, a police spokeswoman said.
He was also charged with being a member of an illegal organisation.
Police would not comment on whether the charges related specifically to the Omagh bombing.
