We should listen to experts who oppose war

There are some folks who feel that those who believe negotiation, compromise and cooperation are mankind's only hope for lasting peace are foolish if not downright crazy. So it was when such peace advocates as Jesus, Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. were killed. So it has been throughout humanity's bloody history.

It takes courage to stand up for principles that are contrary to the norm. To those too timid to ever swim against the current, anyone who does so may seem odd.

The present controversial "pre-emptive" occupation of Iraq has required much soul searching on the parts of citizens who love America but question the wisdom of the war. Cautious souls facing this dilemma have kept silent. Others have felt duty-bound, sometimes at personal cost, to speak out.

1. I think not going to war was the best move on this but

it is like getting back at people who hurt you and we all know how much we like to hurt back. It takes all your will power to turn the other cheek but then in the long run it is better to turn it or I think so but I do under stand wanting to hurt back. I do think we could not have made a move that will hurt as more than this one.Blow back will be going on in my grandchildren days from this and I think the USA could have really done some good with the right leaders.
