1. excellent . . . but only half the picture . . .
this guy's right . . . we need to organize both for our own sake and because the Republicans are well organized . . . good to see that someone is thinking seriously about this and actually putting forward a plan of attack . . . with specific goals and objectives . . . something that's been sorely lacking among Democrats in the recent past . . .

now what we need is someone to do a comparable plan for the issues side of the equation . . . someone to create a document detailing the Democratic philosophy, values, and program . . . something that addresses the issues and stakes out a firm progressive, populist position . . . after the requisite discussions and modifications, we should be able to create a document that most everyone could agree on . . . we'd all have to compromise here and there on various issues, but anything left of Genghis Khan will be an improvement over what BushCo is proposing to do . . . and, I am sure, more in line with what most Americans believe and want . . .

Republicans have staked their positions and are out there selling them . . . and we're not . . . that's why they're winning . . . and we're not . . . if we want to change that, we'll need both grassroots organizing and a progressive platform . . . and the time to start developing them is now . . .

A Letter to the Next DNC Chair
Part 2: What to do with your email list
Your first day on the job, this is the only thing you should do: throw everyone out of your new big office, take the phone off the hook, sit yourself down, and write a letter from your heart to the millions of supporters who desperately want to see you succeed.
