On the basis of their recent pronouncements, the position of the Democratic Party seems to be that Saddam Hussein did not hit us on 9-11, but Halliburton did.

This is like beyond her normal level of idiocy. Usama bin Laden hit us on 9-11, why the fuck is that so hard for the right to understand?

By contrast, the German occupation was run as liberals would like to run postwar Iraq – a joint affair among "the Allies," the United States, Britain, France and the Soviet Union. It took 45 years to clean up the mess that created.

Only the Marshal Plan is considered one of the most successful acts ever done by the United States, sorry Ann, you lose again...

So naturally the Democrats are rooting for an international force in Iraq. The Democratic logic on national defense is: As soon as anyone in the military gets his hair mussed, we must pull out and bring "international peace-keeping" forces in. Our boys are in harm's way! People are dying! Bush lied when he said major combat operations were over! Let's run. That'll show 'em.

Since we already discussed the "hair mussed" comment a couple of days ago, there's no need to get into that piece of stupidity. However she fails to realize that it was Colin Powell who made the speech that we need the UN to be in Iraq last week...

Certainly that women is no one to lead liberals and progressives around by the nose, which is what she does when she makes her inane statements and some of us feel the need to respond with facts.

I can understand your outrage, Neo Progressive. The woman is an insult... just a walking insult. But as such she has no place setting the agenda as to what issues liberals and progressives speak to. We have better and more important kinds of things to put out on the wires and that's what we need to do.

I first came across her rantings in a (not very flattering) feature in a weekend news magazine a month or so ago. I could not beleive that this massively ignorant woman was a commentator on hair dye let alone politics - the mind boggled.

The Saddam Hussein/sept 11 line has to be the zenith of stupidity - how can you be THAT thick and be a media talking head, I really don't get it - please tell me that she's not viewed as a serious political commentator by anyone who's parent's weren't related
