We The People have thus lost the capacity to replace our government
through the ballot box.

“SHUT UP!,” THEY EXPLAIN

By Ernest Partridge
Co-Editor, "The Crisis Papers."
February 1, 2005

http://www.crisispapers.org/essays-p/shut-up.htm

cliffnotes:

~Have you noticed?

Those of us who suspect that the election was stolen (a.k.a. “conspiracy nuts”), have presented an impressive array of evidence – statistical, anecdotal and circumstantial – to support our claims. In response to this we have been provided scant rebuttal evidence.

Instead, we have been ridiculed, vilified, and, most damaging of all, ignored. If our concerns are warranted, then the manipulation of the past election (and perhaps the elections of 2000 and 2002 as well) is arguably the most important news event since the founding of our republic, for a fraudulent national election strikes at the very heart of our democracy. If we the people of the United States are no longer able to remove the government through the ballot box, we are no longer ruled “with the consent of the governed.” Government of, by, and for the people is finished.

Furthermore, “the press” (which we now call “the media”) is no longer our defense against tyranny, for it now serves the government.

~In this essay, I will take a different approach to the issue of electoral integrity. Rather than continue with accusations and evidence, both new and re-iterated, I will pose a series of questions – questions which, for the most part, have been ignored by the media and by the beneficiaries of the past election, the Bush Administration and the Republican Party.

It is far better that we ask questions about the integrity of our elections than make accusations. Accusations soon become tedious and wear out their welcome. But questions put our adversaries on the defensive – which is where they most assuredly belong.

These are questions about the last three elections that must not be allowed to fade away. Not unless and until they are plausibly answered. And if they are not plausibly answered, then decisive action by the American citizens is very much in order. These questions have not been answered, and there is little evidence so far that they ever will be.

“Shut Up!” “Get over it!” “Let’s move on!” Are not answers.

Now to the questions: http://www.crisispapers.org/essays-p/shut-up.htm

~These questions must be asked, repeatedly and relentlessly, until they are either plausibly answered or, more likely, the public finally comes to realize and appreciate that there are no acceptable answers to these questions. For it is becoming ever-more apparent that the authentic though hidden and unspoken answers to these questions must lead to the inescapable conclusion that our national elections are farces and frauds, and that we the people have thus lost the capacity to replace our government through the ballot box. If this is the case, that government, put simply, no longer rules with "the consent of the governed."

1. My heart goes out to you. So much of what you say sounds
My heart goes out to you. So much of what you say sounds reasonable. To want to know exactly what happened with all these slippery situations and intimidating practices. I too would like to know the details. Unfortunately most of that information is not available - nor will it ever be. Never have been dirty tricks ore the years at election time. By both sides. All it takes is an overenthusiastic supporter - and signs get knocked down, etc. But the stuff you talk about is scarier, and likely never provable enough to change the vote numbers. So you have to cut your losses and move on.

It is time to take the lessons from these scary machines and elections and put them to good use by encouraging electoral reform in every State in the nation. That at least is building something that will help in the future. It is time to create the world you want - because you will never rebuild it from the ashes of the election.

When human beings suffer loss, and in particular are severely exploited - as anyone would agree to if they watched this election, it is natural to look for some magic piece of proof that will turn it all around. No greater loss exists, outside of loosing a loved one, than to loose your country. You lost this election (fair, square, unfair, unsquare) and nothing will change that.

Denial is the first stage of grieving. After that comes anger, depression, acceptance and then reconnecting to your life with new meaning (there are various models of the stages of grieving, and most start out with denial - and you can google that). The point is that you do have to move along.. And dreaming that you can change things back to the 'good' world you knew before is unrealistic. You live in a world with creeps & exploiters in the White House for 4 more years. You tried to find a way out of the horrid situation with looking into election irregularities but it does not work. The much greater horror, that your life may have changed forever through the slight of hand of creepy elites and psychopathic political operatives, is right in front of you. And you must face it and accept it. They are in power. Congress has to listen to them. The Senate has to listen to them. The Press has to listen to them. You can tune them out!!

The Palace of Smoke & Mirrors some call it. Freepers want to destroy the America you loved. They do it by using the tools of the criminals and sneakily changing the hearts and minds of your countrymen. This is devastating. No need to go digging anywhere to prove they are nasty pieces of work with some god-awful agenda. No need anymore to go digging anywhere to make yourself feel better. Accept the worst.

And the only way to win your country back is by waking up every day and being ready to work hard to win it back. But you cannot do it if your do not stick together. You cannot do it if some stay in the denial stage (waiting for magic). The election is over. Monsters won. You need to hit acceptance. And then you fight for electoral improvements and transparency. You need to fight the daily propaganda. You need to write letters in support of your political and civic leaders who try their very best to keep things honest and fight for the American way. You need to fight to maintain the beloved structure of your country. And you fight to get Democrats back into power at the federal level. One fight at a time. One day at a time. Or take a break from politics and concentrate on friends and family - and be ready for the day the next election cycle starts. I've said before, start and organize a community garden project. Keep busy and connected to great human beings around you.

Nobody doubts that Gore won the 2000 election but lost the legal fight for the Presidency. Nobody doubts that there were sneaky oily tricks that went on during this past 2004 election. The worst of which were structural likely in nature (keeping certain minorities from voting through psychological intimidation). But no amazing proof has been found in or about voting machines. Nothing big or strong enough to overturn any State results. Or deliver a million votes to the Democrats.

And though muddling around in all the weirdnessthat may have happened in an election fight involving $200 million voters may feel good, it isn't helping you. And some of the most vulnerable are being encouraged to slip down a slidy sloap by getting stuck in denial. Perhaps not you. But some for some people - getting stuck in the "shock" - can become a permanent thing. The moment Kerry conceded, it was over. The moment Gore conceded it was over. Even though it was soon proved that Gore had more votes and won Florida, he had conceded so it is over. This makes it impossible for the election results to change.

So you are left with a fight that is harder and longer. A fight that is less sexy. And that is reality.

So we all need to move on and do our best to not encourage the most vulnerable to not stop their grieving in its tracks. There are other fights to fight regarding the electoral reform. Positive ideas need to be put forward and acted upon to make sure things are acceptable and transparent. You have to hit complete acceptance that the scary monsters are in power for 4 more years before you can be effective in doing new things - to make sure they get booted out and it never happens again.

5. Lynchburg VA: government financially sponsors media
Survey to readers, members etc from anywhere in the USA/Canada --- ask them to call into WLNI Morningline and see if they're allowed to talk about any of the forbidden topics listed below or any local racial or local disability topic at all.

For example see online:
http://members.aol.com/DAC4VA/Lynchburg.htm

Also see the "crazy old aunt in the attic" off-limits topic online at:
http://members.aol.com/DAC4VA/Lynchburg1.htm

Other off limits topics:
http://members.aol.com/DAC4VA/Lynchburg2.htm

WLNI Radio's Morningline is the most listened to station in the market area. The area stretches in a 75 mile plus radius from north of Lynchburg to Danville. An area with a population of around 500,000 people.

Notice that WLNI Morninglines toll free number and regular call in number are not listed on the stations website http://www.wlni.com . Morningline - Monday thru Friday, 6 AM to 9 AM (Eastern).
Toll free 1-888-881-8851
Regular call in phone 1-434-846-8255

Unconfirmed reports indicate the station allegedly screens out calls on a regular basis based on callers name and topic. Though the station regularly (especially between 6:10 AM and 7 AM) encourages callers to call in with whatever is on their mind

Is WLNI in effect a de facto voice of government policy? AKA government propaganda. Federal, state and local elected officials as well as government employees are regularly heard live on air on Morningline. Notice also that the station is sponsored in part by the City of Lynchburg http://lynchburgva.gov/home/index.asp City of Danville http://www.danville-va.gov/ and Virginia's Region 2000 http://www.region2000.org/ (which is the collective voice of the City of Lynchburg, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell Counties; otherwise referred to as State Planning District 11). If not shouldnt government officials withdraw their support and taxpayer support of WLNI?

With the ongoing anti-conservative bias of Lynchburg's daily newspaper, WLNI though it is increasingly perceived to be regressive; becomes the obvious alternate news source in the community for at least a partial conservative perspective to be voiced publicly.

Whatever happened to the FCC theory of fair and balanced coverage as a public service and / or a condition of Federal licensing?
