I'm wondering if Guckert assumed the cover of a hustler to throw people off the scent of his true purpose. That means the websites, the photos, the testimonials--and yes, even the tricks--are a smokescreen for who knows what. It's working; people are taking the bait. It seems too easy to be on the right track. I don't think Guckert, and especially the big guys behind him, are so stupid as to leave a trail a mile wide on the Internet unless they intended to.

He could talk if he's that dumb. He left a whole lot of messages in freeperville and no one shut him up. It seems either incredibly stupid or incredibly calculating.

We're talking about the most secretive, centralized, deliberate administration since Nixon's, and this one has the benefit of learning from that one's mistakes. That's why I'm suspicious of this hustler angle. It could be bait to throw us off the scent.

The calculation behind the setup is cool, calm and professional. I'm only saying I'm not entirely sure he (Gannon) was in on the setup. Think Lee Oswald. There is a certain type of person who responds to flattery and attention from people in power, who then brags about his "contacts" and his importance, and that type of person can be easily used and manipulated, and then thrown away.

The info hasn't been that easily culled. Really, this has gone on for a couple weeks now, but how many people are contributing to the effort? It has come together piecemeal. There's a very real data scrubbing in effect, on TalonNews.com, GOPUSA.com, freerepublic.com... So many sites are eliminating ANYTHING that mentions "Gannon".

I do see the merit in your thinking. At the same time, I tend to think these people, while criminal and conniving, are pretty ignorant, to boot. Look at the mistakes they've made. They're not infallible.

I'm thinking of another thread in which H2OMan talked about a legend, or a cover, being used to throw people off from the real purpose for a cover such as Guckert's. H2OMan made a lot of sense.

The suggestion is that there's a hustler link to both Bush WHs. So when Bushes move in, a retinue of hustlers must follow? The first group were underage; this guy's pushing 50. Is there some other connection?

My concern is that all this hustler pursuing doesn't lead to a dead end or, worse, blow up in everyone's face. The first hustler story was buried. Find a connection and it may break the administration wide open, but not for the sex angle. If it's just the sex, it's nasty but not nasty enough. It has to be off the Richter scale for these guys to go down, or MSM won't touch it.

Over the weekend, we in the blogosphere learned the sordid details of a man called Jeff. A reporter with fake credentials, fake name and a past and present life that are less than acceptable for someone who is allowed to stand within 10 feet of the President of the United States. I will not repeat all the details in this article because they are readily available. What I do want to write about in this article is how deep within the inner circle of the Oval office does this go.

I've been researching James Guckert DBA Jeff Gannon for a few days. Some facts are emerging slowly that connect Gannon to the inner sanctum of the Oval Office. The question remains why? That I feel certain will reveal itself, in the Rovian style of bait and switch, within the next few days.

So here are the facts. James Guckert was hired by the Talon News Agency in early 2004 to be their White House Correspondant. Talon News, a totally Internet based news agency, was solely owned by GOPUSA, a so-called "volunteer" group supporting the ideology of the Bush Administration and the RNC.

Further researching the board of directors of GOPUSA, records within the public domain for any public or private corporation reveals the name of one Richard Powell, as a member of it's board.
