1. No smoking gun IMO
but Gannon as a "dumping ground for opposition researh" is highly suspicious.

2. Pushing the 'rove connection' is the key to his issue..........
Gannon/Guckert sidestepped the usual vetting process for the White House Press Corps. Who would have the POWER necessary to pull off something like that. I can think of three people. rove, cheney or bush. Now as much as I dislike cheney and bush (I won't capitalize their names, just a little side protest of my own) I don't think either of them gave a damn if Gannon/Guckert was in the press room or not. That's one of those small, piddling tasks left to underlings. rove, however, WOULD care about Jeffie's presence in the press room.
He'd care A LOT! I smell rove all over this.

"This week Democrats, who have serious case of Rove envy, went a little nuts and started sending around information and graphic pictures of Gannon and his porn Web sites. But it is the more routine part of Gannon's life that deserves serious scrutiny. Planting or even just sanctioning a political operative in the WH press room is a dangerous precedent and Karl Rove's hope to become a respected policymaker will be hampered if the dirty tricks from his political past are more apparent than his desire to spread liberty around the globe".

THIS is what we must center on. All of the Gannon/Guckert "family values" issues are just window dressing. rove is a snake, an evil, vile snake that has used every trick in the book to win elections, smear people and even, 'get people dead', although that charge will hard to prove and lays quite a bit ahead of the former evils.

We have to take rove down. bush and cheney will follow. They can't survive without their "brain".

CBS Baldly States That Karl Rove Was Jeff Gannon's Contact Inside the White House
By ADVOCATE STAFF

In a stunning development -- which The Advocate can't help but feel is related to the revelation last fall that Karl Rove was possibly behind Rathergate and (therefore) CBS News's recent decline -- CBS News has gone out on a limb and declared Karl Rove to be Jeff Gannon's White House Contact.

According to the CBS article,

When Jeff Gannon, White House "reporter" for Talon "News," was unmasked last week, the leap to a possible Rove connection was unavoidable. Gannon says that he met Rove only once, at a White House Christmas party, and Gannon is kind of small potatoes for Rove at this point in his career.

But Rove's dominance of White House and Republican politics, Gannon's aggressively partisan work and the ease with which he got day passes for the White House press room the past two years make it hard to believe that he wasn't at least implicitly sanctioned by the "boy genius." Rove, who rarely gave on-the-record interviews to the MSM (mainstream media), had time to talk to GOPUSA, which owns Talon.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story is developing.

4. What was Gannon/Guckert doing at a White House Christmas Party?
I'd think the vetting process for an affair like that would be even tougher than a press pass. Who invited Gannon/Guckert to be there? Looks like there's some more digging to do.
