Torture incidents show U.S. hypocrisy (Buchwald)
<snip> Whose orders are they following? - Cat

The Pentagon is looking into that, but they can't go up too high or it will destroy the military careers of the finest people in the service. - Thumbs <snip>

If we resort to physical and mental suffering, why can't the enemy do the same thing to us? - Cat

Because of the Geneva Convention. - Thumbs <snip>

3. remember when
the republics (new name...use it like they call us the democrat party) screamed so loudly when al jazeera or someone posted photos of captured US soldiers...right in the beginning of the war. It was "against the geneva convention." Now however the Geneva convention doesn't apply. This and the publication of photos of wounded and dead iraqis with disgusting captions is also against the Geneva convention. These republics make me ill.

4. the republics make me sick too
and I noticed that, too, how they call us the Democrat party all the time . I think it's insulting. Yep, the republic party. I can't think of anything more damning to civilization than to disregard the Geneva convention.
