Dumbest quotes about Deep Throat
http://politicalhumor.about.com/b/a/174689.htm

<snip>

"He is someone who behaved unethically in that he did not take his evidence to the grand jury and seek an indictment." —Convicted Watergate felon G. Gordon Liddy

"Mark Felt could have stopped Watergate. Instead, he goes out and basically undermines the administration." —Convicted Watergate felon Chuck Colson

"To think that he was out, going around in back alleys at night, looking for flower pots, passing information to someone, it's just so demeaning." —Chuck Colson

"Were there heroes of Watergate? Surely many unknown ones, those who did their best to be constructive and not destructive, those who didn't think it was all about their beautiful careers. I'll give you a candidate for great man of the era: Chuck Colson." —Former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan

7. Isn't Peggy Nooner a "family values" perspn? Running over your own
grandmother for Richard Nixon, which is what Chuckie claimed he was willing to do, isn't my idea of family values. Does Chuckie's grandmother get any say about it?

3. All the pubbies think Felt was wrong to go after Nixon.
I have to laugh when they said he should have just resigned in protest. They forgot to add, that Nixon would have never been found out and history wouldn't have that wonderful picture of him boarding the plane home for the last time. That's a memory I'll always have......the crook and his V sign as he goes home in disgrace.

6. And you know what is sick? These criminals have cleaned up
by going to jail and selling themselves afterward. But the sick part is that these clowns would be in the WH right now lock and step with the neo-cons if they didn't get caught. They would be lying again right along side all the other criminals in there now.

12. It'll be fun
watching them all fall apart when the scam of this administration is at last revealed. Watergate will look like child's play compared to this monstrosity.

10. Thirty people broke the law and went to jail. One was given a pardon.
That makes at the very least 31 crimes against Americans. Deep Throat did the right thing.

13. Parallel Universe Time
Funny, but I imagine a parallel world where Hitler and his cronies did not wuss out at the end, and faced their accusers rather than kill themselves and their families and pets.

I imagine all of Hitler's contemporaries sitting around, years later, discussing Rudolf Hess (he who flew to Great Britain in an attempt to stop the war).

I think you can take just about every quote attributed to Nixon's supporters and see a Nazi saying the same thing.

"Rudolf Hess could have stopped the Holocaust. Instead, he goes out and basically undermines the Chancellor."

"Were there heroes of the Reich? Surely many unknown ones, those who did their best to be constructive and not destructive, those who didn't think it was all about their beautiful careers. I'll give you a candidate for great man of the era: Hermann Goering."

"I view as a troubled man. I don't think it's heroic to act as a spy on your chancellor when you're in high office. I could fully understand if he resigned ... or if he went to the Reichstag. That would be heroic."

I think the point is made.

Evil Kumquat
