Appraisal: Fear in a soaring tower
By Nicolai Ouroussoff The New York Times

Architectural review of the New World Trade Center plans.

I particularly liked the following paragraph in this review as I think it succinctly articulates where America currently is.

"What the tower evokes, by comparison, are ancient obelisks, blown up to a preposterous scale and clad in heavy sheaths of reinforced glass - an ideal symbol for an empire enthralled with its own power, and unaware that it is fading."

1. Allow nothing to be build on ground zero until all the truth....
...about 9-11 comes out. Let the site be a reminder of the greed, lies, deceit and corruption that surrounds 9-11.

5. Who would rent space in that thing? Really. Regardless of the design.

6. That's what I have been wondering the last few years.

I don't care how much they security proof it, you know that would be a big target again for the al quaida types. Who in their right mind would rent office space there? I don't see how it would be anything but a white elephant, unrentable and it might as well have a big sign on it saying"hit me."

I think the design unveiled yesterday was really ugly.
