What's Behind the London Attacks?
The bombing of the London Underground was a false-flag operation designed to keep the West mired in war. Don't believe otherwise.
By Matt Hutaff Jul 7, 2005

Only one word sprang to mind when I heard about the bombings that claimed the lives of dozens of Londoners today – convenient.

Is there anything convenient in death, or in thousands of lives destroyed from catastrophe? No – and words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the men and women changed by today's events. But governments with skeletons in their closets have a great deal to gain from a national tragedy bolstered by "terrorism."

As I sit in my office today, I hear the whispers of co-workers now utterly convinced our war on terror must continue. Despite American and British involvement in the Middle East birthing wave after wave of rebel forces, the Bush doctrine is now justified in the minds of millions. Petty grievances such as the Downing Street Minutes, the President's flagging support and Karl Rove's treasonous outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame are unimportant. A shadowy conglomeration is out to kill us.

Sound familiar? It should – the same emotional ploy was used to great effect on Americans in the wake of September 11th. Question nothing, particularly your cries for vengeance or that nagging feeling in the back of your head. Justice delayed is justice denied.

1. a counties' secret agencies would never conspire to commit violence
against its own citizens to stir up fear and hatred and to further a radical RW aganda, now would it?

3. Conspiracies abound. Remember the JFK-Diem rumors?
Conspiracy theories have always been here and always will.

4. I have seen militant Islamic groups being interviewed from London
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 06:03 PM by EVDebs
recently on the tube showing a territorial brand of Islam that seeks to subjugate the West. The West can simply pull up the immigration barriers, so I don't see this stern 'bonfire of the vanities' type of religion winning many converts outside of where it already is preponderant.

However, I am also not in favor of Zionism, either Jewish or Christian Zionism, based upon the doctrine of a Third Temple -- please read PBS's

'Impact of Millennium on the Holy Land'
January 7, 2000
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/religionandethics/week319/cover.html

to see how volatile this is especially since this fuels Muslim fanaticism.

An Islamic nor Judeo-Christian 'real estate' based faith doesn't do anyone any good in the long run, just more excuses for shoot 'em ups.

But I do seem to think that this 'false flag' act worked in the Bologna Train Station bombing of August 2, 1980 if I recal. Originally the (gasp !) Red Brigades did it, only to find some time later that neo-fascists with funding ties to the CIA did it.

Don't JUMP to any conclusions, however convenient.

It seems the Left Behind crowd of Bush followers have made full use of this though:

Their beliefs are bonkers, but they are at the heart of power
US Christian fundamentalists are driving Bush's Middle East policy
http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1195568,00.html

Yet this eschatology is based upon faulty scriptural views based on a convenient reading of the bible in the 1500's during the CounterReformation --see
http://www.aloha.net/~mikesch/antichrist.htm

Terrorism isn't exactly an act designed to win converts. It's designed to stir up the already committed. However, with Islam's present state in the world, Bernard Lewis' book What Went Wrong and Irshad Manji's The Trouble With Islam may end up selling more copies than Korans. What do you think ?

5. Those were my exact gut instincts.
Just like the bin Laden tapes before the presidential election to keep remind people of terror, keep people in fear. Fear was Hitler stategy as well as people don't think for themselves.

7. Yeah, me too...
In fact, I had my very first ever deleted DU post stricken from GD, just for saying so. Luckily, I found this editorial, so I was able to commuincate my reaction indirectly with out being censored.

8. Matt Hutaff misleads his readers.
Mat Hutaff:
"There is no reason for "terrorist" groups to attack England. Asrecently as this week, the Ministry of Defense announced that plans were being drafted
that would pull British armed forces from the quagmires in Iraq and
Afghanistan."

Click the link, and you find that the UK is moving its forces from Iraq to Afghanistan, not withdrawing from both countries.

10. Interesting article indeed
<snip>

"....I am making an appeal to Britons who are understandably wracked with grief at the moment – don't buy into the hatred the way we Americans did. Don't ignore the obvious evidence that this whole affair was orchestrated by your own government. Most importantly, don't let the deaths of the few, however tragic, plunge your nation into another fit of war and civic clampdowns.

Toying with your emotions is expected. Don't fall prey to ignorance. See the attack on your home for what it really is – a distraction that will keep your money, resources and troops mired in ceaseless battle for an ideology that betrays your democratic and civilized tenets.

Honor your dead with tears, not a cry for war or praise for a disgraced leader."
