Whitman's Words Still Good to Live By

One hundred and fifty years ago this week, an unknown New York poet named Walt Whitman began advertising for
sale his self-published collection, "Leaves of Grass."

Whitman was distributing more than the 795 copies of the book, however; he was giving himself to America.

"I celebrate myself,

"And what I assume you shall assume,

"For every atom belonging to me as well belongs to you."


last paragraph has the advice.
