Two decades after arriving in this country as a student, Egyptian native Mandoah Ebaid may find out today whether his days in America are coming to an end.
An immigration judge is scheduled to hear the case of Ebaid, a Hollywood husband and father of two detained since his name turned up on a federal terrorist watch list in February. He and his lawyer said the listing is a mistake, and Ebaid has not been charged with any terrorist-related crimes
Hollywood police arrested him in February on charges he served alcohol to minors at the Exotic Bites restaurant he manages and his wife, Maria Flores, owns. After checking the watch list, police turned him over to federal authorities and he has been held at Krome Detention Center ever since.
Because Ebaid was arrested in 1999 for possession and buying less than 20 grams of marijuana, he is facing deportation proceedings. Although a Miami-Dade
