The Rovian-Centered Theory of the Media Universe
http://www.tpmcafe.com/story/2005/7/12/18115/4381

There was a time when humans thought the universe revolved around the Earth. Watching the night sky, it certainly seemed that were so. The problem was that when they got around to making their little mobiles, they had to construct circles on top of circles (known as epicycles) to get their system to work out.

Eventually a man by the name of Copernicus came along with the weird idea that it was in fact the sun at the center of our solar system and everything else revolved around it. Although not perfect, Copernicus’s view of the solar system greatly simplified things and got us onto the right track of understanding the way things really worked. It was a perfect example of Occam’s Razor that states the simplest theory is usually the correct one.

We are now in an Earth centered understanding of the media universe.
