"When it comes to U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, you have to wonder about the Wacko Factor. That's my name for that nagging suspicion among voters that an elected official is a little... well... wacky. In politics, to be seen as a wacko is nearly always fatal. If it happens to Santorum in the 2006 election, my bet is that the coroner will rule it a suicide. Make that an assisted suicide...

Santorum goes after working mothers for leaving the home (radical feminists made them do it), defends the home-schooling of his children by calling public education an "aberration," and places blame for the manifold ills of the world squarely at the feet of... guess who? Yep, the Liberals. Liberals favor "no-fault freedom," Santorum writes. In turn, this has led to "the debasement of women, mental illness, and an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases, causing infertility, cancer, even death." Say what?

As to the working-mother thing, Democrats were quick to note that it is easier to stay at home with the kids if your husband is a U.S. senator who makes $162,000 a year... Karen Santorum had a job in the late 1990s. She was a $4,000-a-month consultant for BrabenderCox ...Judging from his recent comments, I'd say that Rick Santorum has one of the finest minds of the 13th century."

One of the worst things about him is that for all the self-righteousness, he is perfectly willing to be a deceitful water-carrier for the Repukes--cf. Social Security. 10. Just bought "It Takes a Family"...........

Read a few pages, flipped thru the index, and I have to say the Inquirer reporter is "RIGHT ON". Santorum will be at a book-signing August 3rd, I'm going just to see how he is received. Not everybody in Chester County, Penna; is a repuke. Gonna drive my car with the Democratic Underground sticker right up to the store front.! If anyone wants details on the signing, email me, I'll respond.

12. Man oh man...

For just a quick second, i thought this guy was, well a little off base, but after hearing him talk for 10 seconds, i realized my first impression was entirely wrong, this guy is a freaking nut job. Its always easier for people to point fingers and place/smear blame all over our social caste for the problems this country faces...it reminds me of a debate i had with a fellow from Illinois, he blamed minorities on welfare for the failures/doom of the usa..its like trying to argue gravity with a dog...
