That stupid "prepare for war" statement defies the age old axiom of "know thine enemy."

We couldn't have invaded Iraq with our troops more ill prepared.
Absent of any knowlege of the history, culture, or even the language of the formerly fertile crescent, our troops have been set up, the Iraqi citizens and country have been brutalilized and contaminated and the repercussions will last for many generations.

The short sighted idiocy and absolute cruelty of this drives me bonkers.
