NeoCon Econ: Don’t believe your lying eyes - no jobs being lost!
The gall of these people, and their house organ, the Wall Street Journal, is just appalling. The thought is that the federal govt (which is, if course, the Bush Administration) is misleading the public about the loss of millions of jobs.

Brain exploding...cannot handle this bullshit overload...

Here’s just some of the crap being unloaded:

“Carnegie-Mellon professor Allan Meltzer, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, presented the minority case in a recent opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal.”

“Don't believe ... the widely reported loss of millions of manufacturing jobs since the Bush administration took office," Meltzer wrote. "All these alleged facts are either wrong or greatly exaggerated, based on the same faulty source."

3. Getting "Conned" Twice
Notice when you discussion neoconservative economists, or "neocon econs," you're getting CONNED twice!

Anyone who is looking for clear, incisive thinking should look elsewhere besides the American Enterprise Institute, the Cato Institute, or the Heritage Foundation in these times. All three of these organizations are nothing more than spin mills for the government, though Cato's libertarian roots have been getting a little persnickety about the Patriot Act and the wealthy welfare policies of the Bush administration.

Any economist who would sit down and write the kind of biased tripe that whore Meltzer wrote deserves to have his PhD credentials scrutinized.
