Crawford would not even rate as a last resort for a summer holiday unless you happen to be President of the United States — or Cindy Sheehan.

<snip>

“We need to get our troops out of Iraq. The only reason Bush wants to stay there is because his buddies are getting rich and feasting off the blood of our children.” She also wants a complete military withdrawal from all Arab countries to make us safe from terrorism.

Is not ridding the world of Saddam Hussein a noble cause? “We sold him weapons and were once his friend — we made him,” she said.

“I have to wonder for the rest of my life if the gun which took Casey’s life was sold to Saddam by the US or by Britain.” Ms Sheenan has separated from her husband, Patrick, since Casey’s death because he does not agree with the “level of intensity” she has devoted to peace in the past year. She has had to dissuade her younger son, Andy, from joining the Army. “I said there was no way this Government was going to get another of my children.”

Mods... I hope this is not a duplicate. This is one of the best articles yet on Cindy and her mission. Thanks

3. I loved the letter in the local newspaper to Cindy:

"You dishonor the president, God, and your son by denying him the freedom in death which he chose in life. . ." Truly sick and disgusting. I hope that lady makes a similar choice soon and sets all of us free.

And I enjoyed the comment by * at the end about how pulling out of Iraq now would "help the enemy." By now, more and more people in this country are wondering just who that enemy is. Hint: he or they may not be in Iraq.

5. Her husband separated from her because of her intensity?
Jesus H Christ in a handbag that is twisted! What a tool he must be! He lost his oldest child to an unnecessary war based on lies, his wife becomes a spokesperson for peace and removal of others' children from harm, and he separates because he disagrees? God, don't you just want to grab this guy and help him uncloud his clearly muddled brain?

Wow...Cindy, I am so sorry for the many pains you have endured these past few years. I hope you know that millions of good, decent people are behind you and your struggle 100%.

6. Cindy makes wonderful points.
Hard to trust the USA when their government helped the enemy (Hussein) in the past.
