I'm flabbergasted. I'm so accustomed to the MSM not-saying the obvious that it's easy to forget our local paper was bought back from the NY Times corp. by an eccentric billionaire who actually lives here. I certainly don't always agree with her editorial policy, but sometimes (imo) her staff totally nails it. Obviously this isn't the Washington Post, but what's important about it is the way regional newspapers are starting to say what needs to be said.

Although there is plenty of blame to spread around for this war, we're struck at how virtually no talk exists about impeaching President Bush.
Perhaps for the American people, the opposition to the war in Iraq has reached the tipping point. Camping outside the president's vacation home, a mother whose soldier son died in Iraq has captured the public's attention. ....The tables, at last, appear to be turning on Mr. Bush.

The United States needs to support our troops in Iraq -- by immediately bringing them home to their loved ones.

The complicity for the Iraqi predicament goes beyond Mr. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and others currently in the administration.

The Bush administration has a history of changing the rules and shifting justifications for war whenever facts emerge to contradict its past statements. The wheels are coming off its spin machine. The mainstream media, at last, is waking up a bit.
