How liberal is your burg?

This is kind of old and I apologize if it's already appeared on DU, but it's kind of interesting. Granted, I don't think the criteria truly illustrate how "liberal" a city is (e.g., my hometown Detroit is the most liberal and is overwhelmingly Democratic, but I consider San Francisco more "liberal" in the real sense of the word). Anyway, have a look:

2. Here in Gooberburg.....

The city of Tampa and the county of Hillsborough just passed an ordinance refusing any dollars to be spent in conjuction with any Gay celebration, appreciation , parade whatever. No security , no permits for demonstration. People don't live here, they just reside. Big difference !!!!

Mayor, State Rep, State Senator, US Rep, US Senators, and every city council member, except one who isn't running for reelection, are all Democrats. So are the county commissioners and even the drain commissioner.

And if you don't have a political philosophy that you can articulate than how liberal can you acurately be said to be?

8. I totally agree.

My hometown Detroit is No. 1 and is definitely overwhelmingly Democratic but I don't consider it as "liberal" in the true sense of the word as San Francisco is.
