Crazy Bill Buckley publishes a stirring right wing tribute to bigots everywhere.

"A couple of years ago, the husband and I were eating out — something you don't do often with four kids under 10 — when he lowered his voice and gestured for me to look at the next table.
I did so, expecting to find something peculiar, such as Karl Rove conspiring with Elvis.
What I saw: A young family of five — father, mother, three young children, well-dressed, well-behaved, enjoying their night out, too. Except for the well-behaved children — mythical creatures with which we have no personal experience with — the family was unremarkable.
But they were black. And my husband whispered that in a nation where 70 percent of black children are born into homes without fathers, it was great to see a picture-perfect black family dining together. "

The essay wonderfully concludes: "The core issue here could not be confined to a sound bite, and Americans are not broadly possessed of the mental dexterity that this debate requires."
"Dexterity" hardly begins to cover the mental condition described. And no, most Americans don't have it anymore...which is why Rush got his sorry ass booted off the air when he opened his ignorant yap....

2. Rush is not a bigot??? When did he change???

I remember in the 'good ole '90's' when Clinton was president and there was some discussion of skin cancer and how global warming and the ozone depletion was causing fair skinned people to get that deadly cancer, there was some drug that would turn a golden retreiver into a black lab..(not really, but the pigment could be changed). Our local reight wing talk radio station (back then they also had liberals on (locally...SURPRISE!))asked if you could have one wish what would it be...

I called in my wish...it was that someone would put that pigment changing drug into Lush Rimbaugh's drink and he would become black for some length of time..It was a while ago, I said ...a year (a month, a decade)?

Some things change that you wish would not...and some things never change!!! :bounce:

I USED to listen to lush rimbaugh when Clinton was in office...just to get a laugh...I hope they do not count me amoung his listeners...cause I aint!!!

I used to watch Matt Drudge's program on Faux Noise Nutwork for a big laugh....he used to wear his hat on the air, and when some asswipe like Marilyn Quayle would tell him something "significant" the camera would zoom into a close-up of the flabby loony...

Could you just imagine them acting on their impulse to go over and congratulate the family on being good blacks?

"Umm, excuse me, but I just wanted to congratulate you for being such good blacks. I mean most of your kind have children out of wedlock and I find this whole scene of an intact black family so heartwarming that I had to come over and congratulate you. May I pat you on the head and offer you a treat?"

The presumptions of this article are breathtakingly pompous, arrogant and condescending...Yeeesh....
