Hull, Iowa is a little Nazi-like town in Sioux County, Iowa. Usually an irrelevant little county, other than the hate speech and political results that come out of there.

I will respond to this editorial, but hope a few others will as well.

2. Unfortunately....

this is a common belief. The people in the hinterlands (and Western NY can be considered such) are often fools. BUT THEY'RE FOOLS WITH GUNS. Do you think that the letter-writer would hesitate to use force to shut up dissent? There is a growing and well-organized under-the-radar group that will intimidate and bully anyone with the audacity to oppose the neocons. This is part of the great RW conspiracy that Hillary was so mocked for 'outing'. I KNOW people are doing this. If it looks like duckanus will lose in 2004, there will be a 'security emergency' and the elections will be 'postponed' under the provisions of the 'Patriot Act' and there will be enough support for it by the people with guns that it will be successful. Then the s..t will really hit the fan. We had ALL better arm ourselves, learn how to use them. It isn't only penis-envy Whimmies (WhiteHeteroMales) that need the 2nd amendment. (And I'M veryVERY anti-gun). Am I paranoid? I FERVENTLY HOPE SO!!!!!!!!!!!

How old is this guy? He would have to be about 80 -- maybe it's just senility talking.

Please don't flame me. I know that not all 80-year-old folks are senile, but a good share of them are (my aunt included).

10. My Dad is a WWII vet, and his comments to me have been 180 degrees out...

...from this guy.

And my 83 year-old Dad knows quite a few other WWII vets that feel the same way he does, and NONE of them are senile.

during the Iran/Iraq war...providing legit media coverage of the fact and also that the neo-con strategy is basically to 'control' the Middle East, so who's targeting who?

I doubt that his claim of being a WW2 veteran is true, but if it is, he's tragically dense. He waves the flag and demonizes dissent at the same time. That's like naming an aircraft carrier after Ghandi- it's missing the entire point.
