WP: For Many, Anger Has Grown Since Start of War
John McNamara never believed the 2003 invasion of Iraq was justified, but as a soldier in an Army transportation unit, he dutifully took part in a war he did not support.

When he left Iraq six months later, he was just happy that he survived.

Now out of the military, McNamara donned his desert camouflage uniform again yesterday to march against the war in which he served.

"Being part of something I didn't agree with didn't sit well in my stomach," said McNamara, 25, of Boston, carrying one corner of a banner for a small, fledgling group called Iraq Veterans Against the War. "Joining this protest, it is the only way I can help end it. It feels good."

1. "a small, fledgling group"?
Oh no, the media isn't the least bit biased. :sarcasm:

6. On the whole a pretty good article
Talked about our anger and diversity, and in the end gave a specific number of Iraq Veterans Against the War in attendence. There were 60, which is very impressive, but indeed kind of small given the size of the event. Also, fledging implies growth, which I think is accurate.

7. "Anger has grown"
Well, I guess that's one way to say it, Washington Post. Holy smokes, did the Post just figure out that the country isn't and hasn't been 100% behind Chimpy's imperial exercise in foreign adventurism?

You know, back when we had a working Fourth Estate, a media that treated the government and its pronouncements with a certain amount of skepticism, Bush and his cabal wouldn't have dared to launch an invasion based on such a flimsy pretext. Instead, the administration sold out the military for profit, and "responsible" media outlets like the Post stood on the sidelines cheering them on.
