GOP aide optimistic (Racicot Interview)
GOP aide optimistic

Campaign chief for '04 credits Bush personality

Oct. 12, 2003 12:00 AM

Former Montana Gov. Marc Racicot met George W. Bush as the two were on the way to a restroom at a national governors conference in 1995.

As fellow governors from Western states, the two struck up a strong friendship after working on issues, such as forest health and highway policies.

Now President Bush has put his 2004 re-election in the hands of Racicot (pronounced ross-co).

snip..........

Arizona Republic reporter Chip Scutari chatted with Racicot this week after he announced Arizona's campaign team for Bush.

He talked about the difficulty of nine candidates "nipping at the president's heels every day," Bush's tax cuts and why his old friend will win re-election in November 2004.

1. Yer' kiddn?
"...the two struck up a strong friendship after working on issues, such as forest health...". Texas has forests?

The article is pure pap. I guess Racicot forgot what Clinton had to endure the same in the third year of his 1st term – and then have it grow far worse over the final four years of his second term. Bush has it easy…so far!

Most of the “interview” (it’s pretty shallow) is falsehoods and “It’s Clinton’s fault!”

”The American people have an incredible affection for him because they respect him as a person.” Good God!
