WP: Troubled Year Gets Worse for GOP:

Bad news often comes in bunches, but for a Republican Party that not long ago looked ahead to an unfettered period of growth and expansion, yesterday's indictment of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) represented one of the most significant blows the party has suffered in a year replete with problems.

The indictment -- which Republicans say is politically motivated -- adds to the gathering headwind that now threatens the Republicans as they look toward the 2006 elections. Whether this becomes the perfect storm that eventually swamps the GOP is far from clear a year out. But Republican strategists were nearly unanimous in their private assessments yesterday that the party must brace for setbacks next year.

2. And not being Christian

and knowing that sincere Christians don't NEED a government to support them, I can only hope the religious right falls pretty far too. Hate to talk the religion down. REAL sick of hearing the religion used to talk down demographic groups. I want religion gone gone GONE from politics.

Nothing wrong with Christianity. Unless you aren't one. Then, in your own nation, you're "other". I'm real sick of being "other" when I'm just another ordinary damn American.

4. Truth be told

A lot of this is politically motivated. I remember listening to some Democratic strategists explaining what the plan of action would be for the 06 lections, and they were mentioning the "culture of corruption". This was right around the time of the Presidential election. I think it's working already, and I think it was a great move. Now I'm not saying any of these charges are made up, but I believe some may have been pushing for closer scrutiny of the Republicans dealings. We will make HUGE gains in te next election, I can hardly wait.

6. The whole CINO movement is a farce. As a Christian, I know that...

empathy, sympathy, caring and forgiveness are all parts of the tenet long forgotten by the CINO's. They are hellbent on just gaining power for power's sake. They are evil, and have NO concept of Christianity.
Fortunately, they are not nearly in the #'s people think they are, they are merely more vociferous.

addendum: I would find it difficult to forgive DeLay for all of the damage he has done, but it would be easier if he were in jail, and justice prevailed.

3. Not so fast.....

The Neocons just got their boy appointed to the Supreme Court. There are too many election frauds being overlooked. Putting a few of these bastards in jail won't change much. I'm hopeful, but real.

5. Yep, and Bob Barr of Ga. was just on CNN spewing a long list

of corruption problems for the GOP. I detested Barr when he was in Congress (and I'm from Ga.)for he strong hatered against Clinton, but he sure isn't taking it easy on the Pubs NOW! Rumor here has it that he might try a run again next year. Maybe he's trying to sound like a realist and against all those bad elected guys in office now???

I have been quite surprised by his recent interviews and how he pulled no punches in slamming his fellow Pubs.
