3. Editorials tends to be quiet. The same story got lots of attention in
other forums. He may not have, if you parse him carefully,
but he'd best not be surprised if some read him that way.

it was equally obvious that he believes that one of the major causal factors in whether a person commits a crime is the color of their skin.

therein lies the well justified outrage.
