Clark Tanks Rolled Into Mount Carmel
By Kelly Patricia O Meara, Insightmag

" Clark wasn't even asked to testify before the congressional committee investigating the circumstances of Waco. For me the real question is one of character and, because of the cover-up that's gone on with Waco, it could even be a question of criminality. From the get-go, when the assignment came down from III Corps, which is the primary Army unit at Fort Hood and his division, Wesley Clark had the opportunity to say 'Hey, wait a minute folks, we're not gonna give tanks and personnel to the FBI to use on civilians!'"
--snip--
" explains McNulty, "Clark didn't do this in a vacuum. Whatever he did he at least is guilty of being a good German - following orders. He was in a position to put his foot down and say no. It was his men, his equipment and his command. Everything that happened at Waco, from the beginning, the U.S. military was involved - including the strategic and tactical planning that went on from Feb. 29 to April 19. Why weren't the guys making the decisions debriefed and questioned by the committee? I would hope that Clark would answer these questions now, the sooner the better, because it appears that Waco is about to follow him into the political arena full force."

This is the third thread about this article. Go to www.clarkmyths.com to see what this is really all about. Or just go to the thread in Politics and Campaigns and read Steph4Clark's post. All the info is there.

2. It's only the beginning of the Republican lies
about Dem candidates. They know that their followers are so venal and stupid that they will believe and/or pass this shit on. Clark had nothing to do with the Branch Davidians, not that they m*****f*****s didn't deserve to die for killing four law enforcement officers.

your website points out that Clark was not in control of the
operations at Waco, but his tanks were there, he had to authorize it.

I know you don't like this subject, but it won't go away.
This must be cleared up before the republicans get to spin it.
Just saying he wasn't in control is not an explanation.

4. this is bordering on insane....
the seige of Waco was originally ordered under George H. W. Bush.

Clark ran the cavalry at a nearby base. He was asked to provide tanks by the FBI. He did.

to try to pin this on him is just plain nuts.

FURTHERMORE..... I maintain, as does the former Republican senator who investigated the incident, that David Koresh and his followers set the fire and killed themselves.

I will also maintain that when federal agents show up at your door with a legal warrant, shooting and killing them is NOT an acceptable response. It sucks that those kids had to die because of Koresh, but it IS Koresh's fault, not Bush's, not Reno's, not Clinton's and definitely not Clarks.

5. Yeah...
I had always had few doubts that Koresh and his zoids brought the whole mess on themselves, but we seem to be in somewhat of a minority opinion. Even more of a minority opinion realizing that the whole mess started long before Clinton took office.

Walk into any crowded room and say "Waco." Watch how many people start pushing pins into Janet Reno dolls.

This has been boiling in the back of too many people's minds for 13 years, and is gonna be one hell of a tough one to get over.
