Personally, I find it interesting and potentially useful to analyze people like Dubya. Not in order to forgive him; in order to figure out what makes him tick (including his vulnerabilities), and how to spot others like him in future from early warning signs.

2. I'm convinced by the last few days that the next few months

are going to be so outlandish some will literally pull their hair out. Pre 2000 the Bush cabal harped constantly ad nauseum that Bush was a 'leader' who could be trusted who would not govern by polls but by some inner moral constant. He was touted as the moral leader. Then after 9/ll he suddenly became the leader who would confront the evil that suddenly cropped up and attacked America, the whole world united behind this supposed great religious compass, the defender of the good against the evil. Then came Iraq and damned what the world thought he and his cabal of who gives a shit what anti war Americans think full speed ahead and follow me leader saving the world from what only they could decern to be the emminent threat of Saddam. Now America is going to see the gentler most human leader who is so misunderstood, if you get to know me you'll love me leader.

First there was the leaked (ya right) Rummy memo that showed him troubled over Iraq and you can bet your ass Bushie knew the memo was going to be ummmm leaked. Then came the Bushie perplexed after meeting with the Malaysian folk I can't understand why they misunderstand me. I will vote for the Democrat who says I don't buy it Bush you lying sack of dog shit. Bush needs to be called a liar with the facts backing them up along with telling the media who doesn't do their constitutional duty to go to hell if they don't like it.

Besides the posturing he may or may not feel (it is hard for a borderline sociopath to feel) Bush has a life long strategy of paying to get his way - be it Pakistan and Turkey or probably even every term paper he ever submitted at Yale.

6. George W - Intelligent?????

Reviewing Georgie's bio, he has never actually been a leader in any of his activities. He has been placed in positions of leadership in name only while the puppeteer's - daddy, Caryle Group, Oil consortiums, etc - controls all of his actions.

He doesn't read the daily papers. He has a wife who is a librarian (never met a librarian who wasn't constantly reading books about their immediate situations), who could give him information on the culture of a Nation - prior to her husband visiting the leader of Thailand, China, etc. Upon formally meeting the the King of Thailand, Georgie proceeded to slap the King on the back. This is an absolute no-no in Thailand. No one is to touch Royalty except for another family member. This is just one example of how a supposedly educated man does not even use common sense nor common courtesy.

Seems Georgie was well trained at the knee of his mother Barbara. They don't seem to do anything that will affect "their beautiful minds"??????

9. Kinsley is taking it personally

and I don't blame him. I think he has Parkinson's himself, which is why he focused on that issue in the article. (Last time I saw him on TV he definitely had some of the shakiness affecting him, and his voice was very weak.) But he was correct in this article--there was no moral dilemma for Bush. He was following the familiar pattern of pandering to his extremist base while appearing to be torn over the decision. The only dilemma was how best to spin this harmful act.
