Clinton bags cheaper AIDS drugs deal

Former US president Bill Clinton has clinched a deal to make AIDS drugs cheaper in Africa and the Caribbean.

The Clinton Foundation has announced on Thursday that it will be supplied with medication by three pharmaceutical companies in India and one in South Africa

"I applaud these manufacturers for doing the right thing," Clinton said while announcing the pricing deal at his Harlem office in New York after several months of talks. "It represents a big breakthrough in our efforts to begin treatment programmes in places where, until now, there has been virtually no medicine, and therefore no hope."

1. He's messing up the right wing's policies.

I really think they are and have been practicing "regional kill" policies in third world areas. Resources, including water and oil, are diminishing, and if we leave the poor countries to die, they won't stress the resources further.

That way, we in industrialized countries can continue to have 5 cars each, big televisions, and consume at will. Isn't that just so Christian of us?
