2. What's NARAL?
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 08:17 PM by Webster Green
This Bob Casey Jr. fellow sounds like a repuke loving DINO anyway, so why not run a real Democrat against Santorum?

and name recognition to win.

11. Typical Dem "reasoning"
The polls show that the problem is with Santorum- people aren't voting FOR Casey. They don't like "Rick." and for good reason. A progressive would do just as well (and maybe even better) once the general election rolled around.

This is the kind of thing that's caused the Dems to become irrelevant in national politics- packing their membership with quasi-Republicans, becuase that's the only thing they can imagine might win.

All it does is end up diluting the national message and granting votes on the senate floor to the far right (who just laughs at us when we run candidates like this).

14. NARAL also endorsed Chaffee in RI
Even though both Democratic candidates are pro-choicers. And Chaffee voted for Roberts and Alito.

6. She's The Reason Dems Lose
She represents the reason that Democrats will have a very hard time taking back Congress or the Presidency. The far left will never accept a party plank that allows the Party to win. To bad it's their way or the highway...just like Bush.

12. Think again
The Dems won't win EVER if they insist on acting (and voting) like Republicans. If 6 congressional election losses in a row haven't taught you that, I don't know what will.

9. Maybe she's angry about Casey selling women's rights down the river?
Just a thought!

She might be really angry that the best the Dems could do is come up with a man who wants to legislate what women can do (or not do) with their bodies.

I know I'm angry!

10. And the solution to that anger is dividing dem votes so Santorum wins?
What is Rick going to do with women's rights (let alone anyone elses) if he is re-elected?
I am all for challenging democrats in the primaries, but I am all about defeating republicans in the election.

15. Why Doesn't she support Pennacoli (sp?)
Why doesn't she support the other Dem. candidate who is pro-choice, Pennacoli (spelling?).

In this case, a contested primary is a good thing because it will help get the Dems free media over the next few months.
