In the days, weeks and months leading up to the Iraq War, and shortly after the "coalition" invasion began, the talking heads and newspaper editorialists had plenty to say.
For the third-year anniversary of a war that President Bush now says will outlast him in office, we have gathered some of the most memorable of those comments. Many are from the media watchdog group, Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting (www.fair.org).

Washington Post syndicated columnist Jim Hoagland, Feb. 7, 2003 P-I: "To continue to say that the Bush administration has not made its case, you must now believe that Colin Powell lied in the most serious statement he will ever make, or was taken in by manufactured evidence. I don't believe that. After today, neither should you."
