HO CHI MINH CITY ¤Ñ It was awesome visiting the War Remnants Museum here in downtown Saigon _ as some still call this big, fabulous city in the deep, luscious south of Vietnam. But it was also somewhat depressing _ especially against the obvious backdrop of the United States¡¯ invasion of Iraq just over three years ago.

The Vietnam War museum here offers the visitor a vision that is as much pure propaganda as superb documentary, of course. On public display for all to see is the Vietnamese perspective on the American invasion of Vietnam that ratcheted into a true full-blown tragedy some four decades ago.
