Minuteman Leader Pushes Border Fence

By ARTHUR H. ROTSTEIN
Associated Press Writer

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- If the government doesn't build security fencing along the Mexico border, Minuteman border watch leader Chris Simcox says he and his supporters will.

Simcox, whose civilian watch group opposes illegal immigration, said Wednesday he was sending an ultimatum to President Bush to deploy military reserves to the Arizona border by May 25 or his supporters will break ground for their own building project.

"We're going to show the federal government how easy it is to build these security fences, how inexpensively they can be built when built by private people and free enterprise," Simcox said.

4. Someone should tell Simcox that any fence build to keep others out
can also be used to keep you in. Do we want a Berlin Wall style human movement management device?

What about the Canadian border, isn't that where so many of the so-called Arab terrorist cells that got busted were attempting to come through a while back?

5. What do you figure for this project, Chris? About $100 a mile?
Go for it, Bozo. You'll be bankrupt in about 2 days.

8. I'll take the illegals over the Chris Simcox's
This is one real slime-ball.....according to the search's on him.

My daughter who graduated Tombstone High school as her father and aunt before her and whose grandmother had lived in Tombstone as a young lady and considered a grande dame, of the town to tough to die, upon hearing of Chris Simcox's purchase of The Tombstone Gazette and his moves to go after illegals/Mexicans was curious as to where Mr. Simcox came from as this was not nor ever had been the feelings or opinions of the locals..

She e-mailed him requesting his bio and interest in forming a vigilante group to go after illegals. She gave her reasons for asking and her interest in her historic families ties to Tombstone. Mr. Simcox responded with an extremely vitriol response and his history was none of her f---ing business.

His response only seemed to justify the comments within the search's.

Californians are not willing to lay claim to Chris Simcox and neither are Arizonans.
