1. during the destruction of Fallugha, snipers were shooting families, with

small children trying to cross the river out of the town..according to a journalist who stayed in the city to Scoop the story.. people started to tell him they were shooting journalists.. so he buried his vest, his ID and Camera in a hole outside the house.. then they had to run because the americans were so freaked about insurgents hiding in houses with civilian hostages they just threw grenades into apartments/houses before entering.. as a general tactic. so everyone was trying to get out but people were being slaughtered in the street. he ran for the river and saw us shooting people crossing.. so he ran to the north and got out thru the desert
