Smearing Social Security
I found an unbelievable article written for an Afro American newspaper.

http://www.afro.com/content/templates/?a=5719&z=8

The author Malcolm Moore wrote that black men die young so they don’t get much from Social Security. He left out the fact that black women outlive white men.

He said “One presently cannot fully access what has been paid into Social Security until age 65. That means that, on average, African-American males enjoy only 3.6 years of payback for decades of paying into the system.”

Malcomn fuzzed up the fact that anyone can retire at 62, but they will draw 25% less. He didn't mention that if they become ill and a physician recommends it, they can qualify for disability before 62.

He admitted African-Americans get survivor benefits for those left behind. But then he asked “Where is the dignity in depending on welfare rather than the nest egg that supposedly grew with each paycheck“? As if Social Security is Welfare! This writer is unbelievable. He is not working on behalf of the common man.

Millions are being spent to destroy Social Security. This is one of the ways they plan to do it. Make it seem worthless and smear it with half truths.

1. Above all they want to loot SS.

It's a big huge chunk of cash they want exposed to the control of naive investors via "private accounts" so they can bouy the flailing stock market and suck the value out of the poor investments people are sure to get talked into under the private account plan.

since the last depression. They want all the money in funds so they can walk away with it again:-)

Actually, I have some money in a 401k, but there is no way I would want to depend on it for my Social Security. There are too many to trust. CEOs that give themselves big bonuses, options and 50 million dollar retirement plans. We have to trust them not to cook the books. We have to know that to keep the market going up we will have to pay higher and higher prices for everything.

MG, what am I doing in the market?

They are chipping away at the young, telling them SS won't be there for them and telling them they will be rich, if they put their money in the stock market instead.

This article that I posted shows what they are up to. Blacks would not be better off with privatization. They would have less time to accumulate and under SS they are covered if they become too ill to work before age 62. Their children and wife would get survivor's benefits if he would die before their children is eighteen. The market won't do that. The disability that comes with Social Security covers everyone until the day they die. Most of the affordable disabilty insurance that we can buy covers us only for a year or so.

I figure the market will reach it's peak about the time my children get ready for retirement and will not go up enough to take care of my grandchildren. What then?
