OSAMA’S ‘WEEKEND AT BERNIE’S’

Although U.S. intelligence agencies claim they “can’t confirm” a French newspaper report that Osama bin Laden died in August, my sources have informed me that Osama’s not only dead, but in U.S. custody.

Apparently, the Bush Administration has been “propping up” a dead bin Laden as part of their plan to spring an October surprise. Sources say that bin Laden’s body has been kept at the lavish apartment of Bernard Kerik, which was renovated with the kickbacks Kerik received while serving as Rudy Giuliani’s Corrections Commissioner.

However, maintaining the appearance of a “Living Osama” has proved to be the biggest challenge yet to the Bush Administration’s effort to hype the “war on terror.” Since bin Laden always appears in his videos standing up, and without shades, the “lounge chair with sunglasses trick” that worked so well in the movie, was really a non-starter.
