Opportunity for Dion (re: bizarre neocon move in Canada) - The Toronto Star
Opportunity for Dion
The Toronto Star

"It is unprecedented as well as bizarre: Canada's governing party launching classic, expensive TV attack ads against the leader of the opposition at a time when no election has been called and when all political parties say, on the surface at least, that they don't want an election right at this moment.

For some, the ads might be seen as brilliant politics, hitting new Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion for his party's past failures on dealing with the environment, notably global warming.

For others, the ads might be seen as a sign of desperation by Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservatives, given his party's miserable record on taking the environment seriously during its first year in office

One thing for sure is that the series of Tory ads, which will air during this weekend's Super Bowl, herald an unusually

..........SNIP"

2. Sigh.
Harper is an idiot. His government blamed the dismal record on the libs during the UN meeting too.

Harper doesn't want to cut emissions....apparently, that's not a problem.....but he has a "clean air initiative." Sounds familiar, no?
