Former Vice President Al Gore will be the keynote speaker at the Sustainable Operations Summit, June 3-5, 2007 in Albuquerque, N.M.
The executive summit, produced by CraigMichaels, Inc., is an invitation-only event that will bring together leaders from the nation's largest corporations, cities and states, universities, school districts and healthcare organizations to promote initiatives that benefit both the environment and the bottom line.
In recent years, Gore has emerged on the international stage as one of the world's most respected champions of the environment. Through lectures and his bestselling book and Oscar-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, Gore has made the persuasive argument that society can no longer afford to view the world's environmental issues through a political spectrum but rather as the biggest moral challenge facing the global civilization.
"Mr. Gore was the ideal person to set the tone for this summit, which will address critical initiatives such as green building, renewable energy, environmental management systems and various other measures that can increase operational efficiencies and contribute to a reduction in our environmental impact," says Michael P. Owens, director of production for CraigMichaels.
