British Lancet: "Tobacco and Alcohol Are More Dangerous Than L.S.D."
The United Kingdom newspaper "The Independent"
is providing a synopsis of a five year medical research paper
published in the current issue of the
British Medical Journal, The Lancet

Well Worth repeating the title:
"Tobacco and Alcohol Are More Dangerous Than L.S.D."
(Just for Laughs,
take a guess as to how 'Cannabis' is ranked...!)

3. L.S.D is a very virulent mind deluding substance. I am no scientist,
but I find it unlikely that alcohol would be as lethal in normal amounts...or cigs for that matter. Other drugs maybe, but L.S.D.?

4. Alcohol is very virulent mind deluding substance
I work in a clinic that provides services to the mentally ill homeless, most of whom are "dually diagnosed," which means they're both crazy and drug addled. In my experience, the most damaging substances are methamphetamine and alcohol. Those are the ones that will screw up a person permanently. The other drugs, if you can get people off them -- a big if; it doesn't happen very often -- they are relatively undamaged (they're no crazier and messed up than they were before they started using), but speed and booze will cause brain damage.

I used LSD several hundred times (many many many years ago) and, while I was on it, it virulently deluded my mind, but when I came down I was okay, or as okay as I ever have been.

My son committed suicide last year. He had taken acid and smoked pot as a teenager, but when he went into a down spiral, it was booze and speed he was using.

8. And you probably didn't have the urge to do it consecutive days at a time, it really takes
it out of you because of the lond duration and the insomnia

5. They are all, except cannabis, strong poisons.
The notion that LSD is not dangerous is stupid. It is true that alcohol and tobacco are far more addicting than LSD.

7. That is true, and I have seen people truly fucked up by it.
Others seem to tolerate it well in proper doses.
