Broder: 98 Columns And Doses Of Dissent (WOW! MUST READ!!!)
Edited on Sun Dec-28-03 01:33 AM by grytpype
Broder finally owns up and admits he's been wrong about Bush.

Will there be a domino effect? Who will be the next Bush apologist to fall from the sky?

1. This was a nice statement.
SNIP..."The pieces about Bush and his prospective Democratic opponents drew predictably mixed reactions. The ups and downs of the president's political fortunes were chronicled in ways that enraged partisans on both sides, at different times. The main theme -- that Bush's confident exercise of leadership gives him a huge political advantage, notwithstanding all the criticisms I and many others have made of his policy decisions -- stands. I am still suspending judgment on Howard Dean, both as a candidate and as a possible president. But I have to say he has run a brilliant campaign this year and put what is really quite a competent field of rival candidates to shame....."

I will accept that as a compliment, almost, but good enough for now.

:D

4. He's way too kind on himself
As of yet, he hasn't corrected a lie that I've emailed him numerous times about, nor has he answered me.

In a column comparing Bush to FDR, which is a travesty in itself, he gives all the credit for the Homeland Security Dept. to Bush. In fact, this was proposed by Democrats, and Bush resisted it for months.

Sorry, Broder's still a whore to me. I'm pointing this out for your own good, Broder will disappoint anyone who thinks he's turned some kind of new leaf.
