Does that... Dowd have even the faintest idea how offensive the word "lezzies" is to some of us? Obviously not. I clicked, but I couldn't get past the title -- it's as bad as screaming "Faggot!" out a car window at a gay man.

Seriously, folks, I HATE that word, with a passion. It carries many bad memories for more than a few of us lesbians.

Think "blackie" or "darkie" for an African-American, and you'll have a bead on just how much it grates on me.
