Wednesday's Steve Bell cartoon

Are lies also called porkies in the US? This comes from cockney rhyming slang Pork Pies = Lies. Anyway enjoy the cartoon, which will explain my comments above.

Nice one. Lies aren't called porkies in the U.S.. Here he'd be pushing "Tony's Buffalo Chips" or some other slang for manure. :-)

There was a time when I really liked your PM (circa 2000). What the hell happened ...
